MENS’ BASKETBALL LEAGUE RULES & REGULATIONS

1. Two 20 minute running time halves. Clock stops the last minute of each half. Note: 5 Minutes for halftime.

2. A player fouls out after his 6th foul.
a) One and one bonus on the (10th) team fouls per half.
b) Double bonus on twelfth (12th) team foul per half. On the foul shot we play the release.

3. Forfeit time will be 10 minutes after scheduled game time. A team can start a game with 4 players. Any team forfeiting 2 games during the season will be automatically dropped from the league.

4. Rosters are limited to 12 players

5. The officials have been instructed to call a tight game so games stay under control.

6. Players must wear team shirt that is supplied by the league. No player will be allowed to play in a game without his team shirt! Replacement cost for shirt is $10.00.

7. Teams should conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike manner at all times. Brewster Sports Center reserves the right to exclude any player that does not conduct himself in a manner befitting the high standards of the Brewster Sports Center.

8. Fighting – A player engaged in a fight will be automatically ejected from the game and gym. He will also be suspended for the next game. A second infraction will result in expulsion for the remainder of the season and the playoffs.

9. Abusive language will not be tolerated. Either directed at the officials or other players. This will lead to the player being ejected from the game and gym.

10. No protests.

11. A team is given 3 full timeouts per game with one extra should the game go into overtime.

12. All team fees will be due the 3rd game of the season or your game will result in a forfeit.

13. If by the next game you still have failed to pay, your team will automatically be suspended from league play.

14. All games are to start at the correct scheduled game time. If the court is occupied prior to the start of the game, then 5 minutes will be allowed for warm-up. Forfeit time will be 10 minutes after scheduled game time.
